Travel and Leisure Golf's "2008 World's Best Golf Resorts Reader's Survey" has named TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach the #1, "Best Course in Florida". The Stadium Course at the PGA Tour's flagship TPC Sawgrass is home to The Players Championship, golf's richest tournament.

The survey appears in the September/October issue of the magazine and covers reader's favorite resorts within the U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico, Latin America, Canada, and the British Isles.

The Sawgrass Golf Resort and Spa, a Marriott Resort, was named #1 Golf Resort in Florida and #9 in the U.S.
